About Fem Plus
Fem Plus is a women friendly package for the travelling women. Women safety, security and travelling convenience is of major concern in a country like India. We have observed that the need for change in public transport networks for addressing the complex and diverse transport needs of the women passenger have been slow to materialise. The gender imbalance void present in how transport networks are designed has led to women taking extra precaution when travelling both within cities or an intercity route. Hive cares for the travelling lady, by its concern for the women passenger, during boarding and deboarding the bus.
We are mandatorily stressing the OEM bus industry and even the Bus Fleet Operators Pan-India for introduction of Panic Buttons on board buses, for Women Safety. We are also looking forward to have partnerships for IT enabled services, which can help women provide an app based SOS button to allow them discretely call for help if they feel vulnerable or unsafe when travelling.
We believe that the transport infrastructure plays a crucial role, in fostering women safety and security in public transit system. We stress for implemention of Maas (Mobility As A Service) or Integrated transport solutions in India, as a measure to help women accurately plan their journey schedules according to their convenience, so that they can feel secure while using a public transport system. Its important to understand that, women's safety concerns are not only binary, but women do have concerns about physical and health security and their well being should be a priority while considering their safer travel options.
Women are often worried about being stalked or followed, it will be worth considering providing women well-lit boarding and deboarding points with cctv surveliance, so that we can be able to curb any unwanted untoward incidents which may affect and hampher women security concens.
Our dedicated Women Only Team consisting of female officials and workers will take care of the women passenger needs on the priority. We are also in discussion to introduce women only dedicated hotline numbers in case women passenger need or feel the need of emergency assistance during a bus journey.
Women Safety is not a privilege, its a women right and we at Hive stand by it and support it and stay committed to it.
This revolutionary package will not only change the way, women travel on board buses in India, but it will also bring a sense of awareness within the Bus Community in India about Women Safety. Our other initiatives will also include introduction of Women Only Lounges and Baby Rooms in future.
